Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care

Most people seek chiropractic care for relief of neck pain, back pain, headaches, and other painful conditions. At Bertrand Family Chiropractic our interest is to find the cause of your symptoms. Your spine is the house of the nervous system that carries vital communications between your brain and your body. When we identify areas of the spine that are not biomechanically functioning properly, we are able to restore function and eliminate pain. Some people also seek chiropractic care for non-pain and “non-back” related health issues. Whether you visit me for a one-off treatment or a longer course of action, I make sure my patients play an active role in their recovery so they can remain pain-free once treatment ends. In my 25 years of experience in practice, I've had personal success with cases of bedwetting, reflux, colic, ear infections, anxiety, asthma, allergies, and many more common health conditions. When we identify and correct subluxations, we allow the nervous system to function at its optimal level allowing the body to help heal itself.

Our Techniques and Therapies
Because no two patients are exactly alike, we provide a range of techniques and therapies to get the best results for our patients:

Helping Patients Feel Comfortable
If you’ve never been adjusted before you may be unsure of what to expect. We tailor each adjustment to the patient’s unique needs. We tell nervous patients that an adjustment doesn’t hurt. Please know that we’re here to make you feel better! Every patient will be talked through the first adjustment, so they understand what we’re going to do and how it feels.

Do I Have to Go Forever?
It’s always your choice as to how long you’d like to receive chiropractic care. Consider it spinal hygiene. Just like brushing your teeth on a regular basis so you can maintain excellent oral health or changing the oil in your car at the recommended intervals, getting regular chiropractic care is important when it comes to maintaining peak nervous system function. As people are living longer, maintaining that function and mobility can improve the quality of life as one ages.
Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses focused light to stimulate a process called photobiomodulation, or PBM. During PBM, photons enter the tissue and interact with the cytochrome c complex within mitochondria. This interaction triggers a biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism, a decrease in pain, a reduction in muscle spasm, and improved microcirculation to injured tissue.

This treatment is FDA-cleared and provides patients with a non-invasive, non-pharmacological alternative for pain relief. It is painless and very soothing offering IMMEDIATE relief in the majority of patients.

Decompression Therapy

Decompression Therapy

What is Decompression Therapy?

  • Decompression Therapy is a Non-Surgical Procedure to help reduce or eliminate low back and leg pain. An effective Cervical treatment for neck pain, arm pain, and headaches is also available.
  • Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical procedure that effectively treats disabling low back, neck, radiating leg & arm pain, and headaches.
  • Decompression Therapy effectively relieves the pain associated with disc herniation, degenerative discs, posterior facet, and other spinal-related syndromes, by reducing the pressure on spinal discs and facet joints through unloading created by distraction and positioning.
  • Decompression Therapy effectively enhances the healing process and often renders quick, effective, and amazing pain relief that enables most patients to return to a more active lifestyle. Research to develop this procedure was conducted by prominent physicians, engineers, and technicians at major teaching hospitals.
  • Decompression Therapy is a highly successful treatment for patients suffering from bulging, herniated, degenerative, or ruptured discs as well as sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many failed back surgery cases. This treatment helps patients avoid the risk of anesthesia, surgical complications, and the potential of failed back surgery.
  • Decompression Therapy begins with a series of sessions typically 3-4 times per week. Each session is approximately 8-12 minutes. During each session, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, or therapeutic laser may be applied to help relax muscles and promote further healing of injured tissues. After treatment, your doctor may prescribe specific exercises designed to help you regain proper control and strength of the stabilization muscles which can help create long-term benefits.
  • Decompression Therapy is administered to patients fully clothed either face down or face up on the table.
  • Clinical studies suggest Decompression Therapy provides a majority of qualified candidates with initial relief within just a few sessions.
  • This proven, non-surgical approach could help you find the pain relief you need.
